Online auctions: Memorabilia

A signed Melbourne Cup Carnival saddlecloth is a unique piece of sporting memorabilia that acts as a precious reminder of a phenomenal ride, horse and jockey. Every year, the auction of these saddlecloths is highly anticipated with racing enthusiasts and sporting fans alike. 

Once again in 2012, the Victoria Racing Club (VRC) welcomes bidders as we auction off the saddlecloths worn in the 2012 AAMI Victoria Derby, Emirates Melbourne Cup, Crown Oaks and Emirates Stakes. Each saddlecloth will be signed by its raceday jockey and authenticated by the Chief Executive of the VRC.  

The VRC will donate 30 per cent of all money raised to the National Jockeys’ Trust. 

Auctions open the day after each feature race is run and closing times will vary.
